Red Chair Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join a well-established company specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering solutions. This is a key role within a fast-paced warehouse environment that supports both manufacturing and distribution operations. As a Stores Operative, you'll be responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse activities – from goods receipt and stock management to order picking and dispatch – ensuring the efficient and safe flow of materials to support ongoing projects and service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment. Pick, pack, and dispatch items accurately and efficiently.

Maintain up-to-date stock records using internal stock control systems. Ensure the warehouse is kept organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards. Liaise with other departments to support smooth operational flow. Requirements: Previous experience in a warehouse or stores role, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Basic IT proficiency and familiarity with stock control or inventory management systems. Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred but not essential). Valid Manual Handling certificate. A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong attention to detail. Benefits: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
