We are seeking skilled Character Animators who have a strong command of acting, appeal, entertainment, weight, movement, anatomy, and dialogue. What You’ll DoBring stories to life by creating vivid, compelling, and believable character performances that effectively conveys the narrative.

Collaborate closely with Directors and Animation Leadership to produce high quality feature animation in line with the creative vision. Participate in team reviews and actively contribute to creative discussions. Manage your time effectively working with production to meet project deadlines. What You’ll NeedA strong understanding of animation principles, and an excellent sense of story, pacing, continuity, and appeal. Be a proven team player who brings a high level of creative imagination and problem-solving to the role, while also being self-managed/self-driven.

A reel no more than 2 minutes in length, showcasing your strongest animation performances with believable expressions, emotional depth, weight, physics, and entertainment. Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software. 2+ years experience working in animated feature films, VFX, TV or games. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively, to deadlines within a team environment. Be open to constructive criticism. Open to new workflows and tool sets. A willingness to always improve and inspire those around you. This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Hybrid Role (Minimum of 3 days a week in the office).

At NAS, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $80K-$160K CAD. This reflects total compensation; we do not have stock options. NAS benefits can include medical/dental/vision plans, mental health support, retirement programs, and family-forming benefits, paid leave of absence programs, and paid time away programs to be used for vacation and sick paid time off.
