Motion Designer

Hello!We’re Smart City Media, a real estate marketing company based in Vancouver, BC, producing video content for commercial real estate projects across Canada. We’re currently working remotely—but check out [this reel] to get a feel for the type of work we do. We’re looking to add a Motion Designer to our team. If you’re up for it and think you’d be a fit, we’d love to connect! We are a remote team, but have an office in Vancouver available for your use.

About The RoleYou’ll be working on a mix of high-quality video projects—sometimes collaborating with other motion designers, sometimes flying solo. We’ll train you on our templates, plugins, and workflow, but being elite in After Effects and Premiere Pro is key to success in this role. Your Core Responsibilities Will IncludeDesigning and animating motion graphics in After EffectsIntegrating elements into footage using the 3D Camera TrackerEditing footage in Premiere ProIf you’re more confident in 2D than 3D tracking, that’s totally fine—we can support you on the technical front.

Skills That Will Come In HandyInterpreting client notes, technical specs, and subjective feedback to guide the creative processDesigning clean, thoughtful layouts to communicate complex ideas in simple waysStrong graphic design fundamentals, especially for video layoutExperience with 3D tools such as Element 3D, Blender, SketchUp, Unreal Engine, Unity, Revit, or Twinmotion is a bonus—but not requiredGot another creative superpower?
