About the RoleAs Country Head for Singapore, you will be responsible for leading and driving the overall strategic direction, operational excellence, and commercial success of Wine Connection’s business in the country. This includes full P&L accountability across restaurant operations, retail wine shops, e-commerce, B2B distribution, and events. In addition, you will oversee corporate management functions to ensure cohesive execution and alignment with group-level objectives. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver strong financial performance, customer experience, and team engagement, while ensuring alignment with group strategies and values. Key Responsibilities1.
Strategic LeadershipDevelop and execute the country business strategy aligned with the group’s objectives. Identify market opportunities and drive initiatives to grow market share across all channels: retail, restaurant, e-commerce, B2B, and events. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and partners. 2. Operational ExcellenceOversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution in retail stores and F&B outlets. Implement performance metrics and KPIs to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability. Champion best practices in store operations, inventory management, and customer service. 3. Financial ManagementOwn the country P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
Optimize cost structures, drive revenue growth, and ensure profitability targets are met. Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation. 4. Corporate ManagementProvide country-level oversight and coordination across supporting functions such as Finance, HR, Marketing, IT, Leasing, Training, and Supply Chain. Ensure alignment and smooth execution of group-led initiatives by working closely with functional leads at both the country and global levels. Maintain awareness of key regulatory requirements and ensure local compliance (e. g. , liquor licenses, health and safety certifications), with support from relevant corporate departments5.
Team Leadership and CultureLead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team across operations and the corporate office. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that reflects Wine Connection’s values. 6. Brand and Customer ExperienceEnsure consistent delivery of the Wine Connection brand promise and customer experience across all touchpoints. Drive brand awareness, promotions, and loyalty programs tailored to the Singapore market. RequirementsSenior management experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or FMCG. Strong business acumen and proven success in driving P&L growth. Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills. Ability to think strategically and execute operationally in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in wine, beverages, or lifestyle/hospitality brands is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of the Singapore consumer market and regulatory environment.
