19 CISF personnel honoured for rescuing 250 civilians near LoC during Op Sindoor

In a commendable display of courage and quick thinking, nineteen Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel stationed at a hydroelectric power project in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, were recently recognized for their heroic efforts during Operation Sindoor. The personnel, responsible for securing the Uri Hydro Electric Power Projects (UHEP-I and II) along the Line of Control, were awarded the DG's disc by the force's director general for their exemplary actions that saved the lives of 250 civilians.

Operation Sindoor was initiated following a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which tragically resulted in the loss of 26 lives.
