Alberta man identified as victim found in burnt vehicle in Dawson Creek: RCMP

A 29-year-old Edmonton man has been identified as the victim found in a burnt-out vehicle near Dawson Creek, RCMP say. Dawson Creek RCMP confirmed Monday (Nov. 3) that the remains found in a burned vehicle near Dawson Creek on Oct. 13 belonged to Jesse Twain. Dawson Creek RCMP first responded to a report of a burnt-out vehicle on Oct. 13, southwest of Dawson Creek, near the area of 251 Road and Kiskatinaw River area. An Oct. 16 news release then confirmed that it had since become a homicide investigation after human remains were found inside the vehicle. The B.C.’s RCMP’s serious crime unit is now leading the investigation. B.C. RCMP Supt. Sanjaya Wijayakoon said police were looking to speak with anyone that may have knowledge of the incident or anyone who had seen a grey 2005 Mazda 6. RCMP added investigators are looking to the public to help further the investigation, specifically anyone who has any information on Twain and the events leading up to and including his death.
