Bank Holiday Today: Banks remain closed on a number of holidays as per the RBI’s bank holiday list. Bank customers are advised to visit branches after checking the holiday list. Today, November 7, banks will remain closed in Shillong (Meghalaya) on account of the ‘Wangala Festival’. However, the banks will remain open as usual in the rest of the country. While physical branches will be closed in Shillong, digital services will be available to use. The Wangala Festival, also known as the 100 Drums Festival, is one of the most important harvest celebrations of the Garo tribe in Meghalaya.
