Chris Olsen Makes Rare Comment About New Boyfriend as He Reacts to Jonathan Bailey's Sexiest Man Alive Title (Exclusive)

Birds of a feather flock together — and it looks like influencer Chris Olsen and his boyfriend's love of Jonathan Bailey is that force bringing them together. Olsen has been tight-lipped online about the identity of his new beau, though he has teased his boyfriend's identity in a few snapshots on his Instagram. Notably, on Halloween, Olsen and his boyfriend dressed as Superman and his alter ego, Clark Kent. Olsen posted a slew of photos from the evening featuring his boyfriend; however, instead of sharing his love's face, he made sure to blur out his face in all the snaps he was featured in. Despite his previous coyness about his boyfriend, Olsen did briefly open up about his partner as he spoke with PEOPLE at the Wicked: For Good at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Nov. 17, noting their shared love for Wicked star and PEOPLE's 2025 Sexiest Man Alive: Jonathan Bailey. "We both have said that he is our celebrity crush," Olsen gushes about Bailey on the red carpet, after seeing a copy of the magazine's print issue. Asked if he thinks PEOPLE made the right choice in crowning Bailey Sexiest Man Alive, Olsen doubles down, saying, "He's been my celebrity crush since before I was born, before I even knew who he was. The universe drew me to him." He also touched on Bailey's historic title as the first openly gay man to be crowned PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive. "Queer visibility is more important than ever," he shares. "Having [LGBTQ+ representation] in spaces like this, where it feels kitschy and fun and people might not think this is activism in the way it needs to be, but having it normalized in every space, including ones that are dominated by straight men a lot of the time, is what is going to ultimately help push us forward," he adds. Olsen soft-launched his boyfriend on TikTok on Oct. 18, sharing a similar set of clipped videos featuring the boyfriend's blurred face. “I would say this album in fact come out at the right time,” wrote Olsen in text over the clips, referencing Taylor Swift’s latest record The Life of a Showgirl, much of which documents the pop superstar’s jubilant romance with fiancée Travis Kelce. Addressing the secretive nature of his boyfriend's identity, Olsen wrote in the caption: “I’m not tryna be a couple acc again and for once I’m being more private & that’s nice. I knowww the censor is annoyingggg but I still want to make these kinds of vids bc I am vvvv happyyyyy.” Olsen first started to gain viral attention online in 2020 as he and his then-boyfriend Ian Paget quarantined together, sharing their relationship on their social media platforms. The pair announced their split in January 2022, after which Olsen vowed to document less of his future romances online. “If I were to get into another relationship, I would never, never share it in the way that we did,” Olsen told Paget when the pair reunited over a year after their breakup. “Relationships are complicated in general; having other opinions only really makes it harder."
