Coronation Street icon Antony Cotton on baby plans with partner he met on ITV soap

Coronation Street 's Sean Tully, played by Antony Cotton, has had a rollercoaster of a love life on the cobbles. However, off-screen, Antony's love life is far less dramatic. Antony first graced our screens as Sean in 2003, following appearances on popular shows such as Channel 4's Queer As Folk and BBC's Absolutely Fabulous. It didn't take long for Sean to become a fan favourite, with Antony bagging several awards including a National Television Award for most popular newcomer. Over the years, the Rovers Return barman has been at the centre of numerous gripping storylines - from battling homelessness to becoming a father to Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne). Sean's romantic endeavours have been less successful, having his heart shattered time and again. His most significant relationships were with sonographer Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) and vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), reports the Daily Star . Away from the drama of the cobbles, Antony is happily partnered with Peter Eccleston, a prop buyer. The couple met on the set of Coronation Street and have reportedly been together since around 2005. In 2010, Antony and Peter exchanged rings as a symbol of their commitment, although they did not have a civil ceremony. The pair tend to keep their relationship under wraps, occasionally sharing snippets of their life together on social media. This week, however, Peter shared a charming selfie of him and Antony on the red carpet for the Pride of Britain awards. Taking to his Instagram, he posted a photo of him and Antony looking smart at the event, as well as selfies with some of Antony's Coronation Street co-stars and also Strictly judge Shirley Ballas. Peter captioned the post: "Huge congratulations to all the well-deserving winners at this year @prideofbritain." Meanwhile, despite their long-term relationship, Antony previously dropped a baby bombshell as he revealed that he and Peter have no plans for marriage or children. He told the Mirror in 2015: "Why change something when we are so happy?". Gushing about his partner, Antony added: "We are an incredible team and Peter brings out my best side. He is always -looking out for me and protecting me when we're out, while I look after him at home. I hang up pictures, make pickled beetroot and buy plants." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
