Emmerdale Anya's true identity 'unveiled' in Dingle twist and Cain will be floored

Emmerdale viewers reckon they've cracked the mystery surrounding newcomer Anya's true identity in a massive Dingle DNA twist. Anya made her first appearance on the popular ITV soap this week, discovered hiding in the back of one of Caleb Miligan's (played by William Ash) lorries, leaving him utterly flabbergasted. Noticing how vulnerable and poorly she was, Caleb's wife Ruby (portrayed by Beth Cordingly) insisted that Anya be taken back to their home, Mill Cottage, against Caleb's wishes. Once back at their place, with Anya catching some shut-eye on the sofa, Caleb voiced his worries to Ruby about the potential repercussions if the police found her at their home, fearing he could be accused of human trafficking and end up behind bars. However, Ruby wasn't having any of it and remained determined to care for Anya. Clearly traumatised, Anya found it difficult to open up to Ruby when she attempted to discuss her past, reports the Daily Star . Ruby then sought the assistance of Doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) to examine Anya. Liam cautioned Ruby about the potential challenges of caring for Anya and advised her to contact the authorities, but Ruby turned a deaf ear. In Friday's episode (October 24), Ruby stumbled upon a photograph of a young girl amongst Anya's possessions. Anya disclosed that the girl was her daughter, who is currently under the care of her mother. Caleb once again aired his anxieties about the entire situation, but Ruby assured him that Anya wouldn't be going anywhere until she was certain she was safe and had a place to stay, refusing to cast her out onto the streets. Later, in a private moment with Anya, Caleb gave her £2,000 in cash for her to head to London, assuring her that the money would keep her afloat until she sorted things out. Despite her reluctance, Anya accepted and took the money. However, with more drama on the horizon, fans are more certain than ever that they've sussed out Anya's true identity. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one viewer queried: "Who is the girl living with Caleb and Ruby?". Another fan speculated that she might be a covert member of the Dingle clan: "Another Dingle." A third agreed, saying: "I thought that." Anticipating a twist involving Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), another fan posted: "Another one of Cain's kids?" A fifth chimed in: "Wouldn't surprise me!" Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm

Coronation Street icon Antony Cotton on baby plans with partner he met on ITV soap

Coronation Street 's Sean Tully, played by Antony Cotton, has had a rollercoaster of a love life on the cobbles. However, off-screen, Antony's love life is far less dramatic. Antony first graced our screens as Sean in 2003, following appearances on popular shows such as Channel 4's Queer As Folk and BBC's Absolutely Fabulous. It didn't take long for Sean to become a fan favourite, with Antony bagging several awards including a National Television Award for most popular newcomer. Over the years, the Rovers Return barman has been at the centre of numerous gripping storylines - from battling homelessness to becoming a father to Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne). Sean's romantic endeavours have been less successful, having his heart shattered time and again. His most significant relationships were with sonographer Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) and vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), reports the Daily Star . Away from the drama of the cobbles, Antony is happily partnered with Peter Eccleston, a prop buyer. The couple met on the set of Coronation Street and have reportedly been together since around 2005. In 2010, Antony and Peter exchanged rings as a symbol of their commitment, although they did not have a civil ceremony. The pair tend to keep their relationship under wraps, occasionally sharing snippets of their life together on social media. This week, however, Peter shared a charming selfie of him and Antony on the red carpet for the Pride of Britain awards. Taking to his Instagram, he posted a photo of him and Antony looking smart at the event, as well as selfies with some of Antony's Coronation Street co-stars and also Strictly judge Shirley Ballas. Peter captioned the post: "Huge congratulations to all the well-deserving winners at this year @prideofbritain." Meanwhile, despite their long-term relationship, Antony previously dropped a baby bombshell as he revealed that he and Peter have no plans for marriage or children. He told the Mirror in 2015: "Why change something when we are so happy?". Gushing about his partner, Antony added: "We are an incredible team and Peter brings out my best side. He is always -looking out for me and protecting me when we're out, while I look after him at home. I hang up pictures, make pickled beetroot and buy plants." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX

Coronation Street Hope's bully 'unveiled' as cobbles resident but it's not sister Ruby

Coronation Street fans are convinced they know who is bullying Hope Stape online and it’s someone she knows very well. Hope (Isabella Flanagan) has been a staple on the ITV soap since her on-screen birth in 2010 during the iconic tram crash episode. And as the daughter of Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and killer John (Graeme Hawley), it didn’t take Hope long to find herself involved in some cobbles drama . From a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis aged just four to even trying to kill her stepdad Tyrone’s (Alana Halsall) girlfriend Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu), her time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama. Especially at the moment, as the long-running ITV soap has kicked off a heartbreaking new bullying storyline for Hope. Last week, while on work experience at the Amon, Hope was caught stealing diet pills from a client. She later confided in Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) about her insecurities, admitting she wishes she looked like other girls and people on social media. Bethany - who had botched plastic surgery last year - tried to reassure Hope that she was perfect the way she is. Although Hope seemed to take the advice on board, things took a heartbreaking turn later on. In emotional scenes, Hope was seen crying at home on the sofa while reading horrible messages that an unknown social media user had sent to her. What’s more, in Monday’s episode (October 21) Bethany treated Hope to a manicure. Hope then shared a photo of her new nails on her social media account, but was met by a string of vile messages again. And now, fans have ‘worked out’ who is sending the nasty messages to Hope. While some people suspect her very own sister Ruby (Billie Naylor) other fans reckon it’s someone else on the cobbles. “Is Ruby the person that’s sending Hope the hateful messages?” said one person on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page. Someone else then predicted Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner). They wrote: “I'm thinking Lily she was nasty to Sam, this could be her storyline why they changed her.” Another agreed: “That’s what I thought.” A fourth penned: “Lily.” Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX

Heartbroken Gogglebox star Georgia Bell reveals sad news just hours after engagement

Gogglebox ’s Georgia Bell has shared her heartbreak just hours after revealing she has gotten engaged . The 25-year-old joined the Channel 4 show back in 2018, along with best pal Abbie Lynn. And it’s fair to say it didn’t take them long to become a firm favourite with fans. Over the years, Georgia and Abbie - who live in Durham - have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights. Away from the show though, Georgia is a proud mum to two sons, Hugh - born in July 2022 - and Ralphie - born in November 2024 - whom she shares with partner Josh Newby. And recently, Georgia shared the exciting news that she had gotten engaged to boyfriend Josh while on a romantic trip in Dubai. The hairdresser uploaded a video to Instagram that showed the sweet moment Josh asked the all important question as they took a boat trip. Georgia - who has been dating Josh since 2018 - captioned the post: “14.10.25 YES YES YES!! Officially in our fiancé era. A memory to remember for a lifetime.” However, despite her exciting engagement news, this week has likely been bittersweet for Georgia, as she recently paid tribute to her beloved grandmother. On (October 20) Georgia took to her Instagram Story and uploaded a photo of a bouquet of gorgeous flowers. In the bottom right hand corner Georgia included a photo of her nan holding a newborn child. She captioned the post: “2 years since you gained your wings nana. I miss you everyday.” In Georgia’s engagement video, Georgia was visibly stunned as Josh got down on one knee as she wore a white mini dress and sunglasses. Josh donned a blue and white stiped shirt and pale shorts as he whisked Georgia, 25, off for a romantic proposal. They shared a touching hug before their first kiss as an engaged couple. The engagement post was met with a ton of support from her fellow Gogglebox stars. The Malone family wrote: "Such lovely news, congratulations to you all." Ellie Warner penned: “Congratulations wonderful news,” while sister Izzi Warner commented: “Aww lovely news congratulations.” Jenny and Lee added: “Congratulations to you both wow great news much love to ya xx.” Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
