Duduzile Zuma’s deleted social media posts recovered, court hears

The Durban High Court has heard that some of the social media posts that MK Party Member of Parliament (MP), Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla that had been deleted, have been recovered. That’s the evidence of media law expert Emma Sadleir in Zuma-Sambudla’s terrorism trial stemming from the 2021 unrest. The court previously heard from a police expert that Zuma-Sambudla had deleted some of her posts after the unrest. Sadleir says one recovered video shows a person shooting at an election poster of ANC President, Cyril Ramaphosa. In the background someone remarked: “Eish, ja”. Defence advocate Dali Mpofu objected to these recovered videos being played in court, saying they did not receive them in time. Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla’s trial I 19 November 2025
