Shazia’s world falls apart when her husband abandons her and their three children after marrying another woman. Initially, Abbas agrees to pay monthly maintenance for their children, but when he stops giving her the expenses, Bano takes the bold step of going to court. Although Abbas tries all he can to silence her by pronouncing triple talaq, it later grows from Bano’s personal struggle into a nationwide conversation on women’s rights, faith, and justice.
