Police spoke to an occupant of the residence who stated that sometime after 2:00 AM when he was making his way into his residence he was accosted by 2 male persons who forced him inside his home and subsequently restrained him and stole and number of items from him which include a pick up truck, being a Dodge ram with license plate C-15217 valuing over $45,000. Upon learning of this incident police put into place a number of operational efforts and we have retrieved and are in the process of reviewing a number of video footages that we believe will assist us with this ongoing investigation." "We have not been able to conclusively come down on a position however as you rightfully said it is common for vehicle theft in that area to be with a view of taking it across the border and that is the reason why several operational efforts were put in place and are still underway."
