Home Invasion Led To Vehicle Theft In Border Community

Home Invasion Led To Vehicle Theft In Border Community posted (November 7, 2025) EmailAnd earlier this morning out in Bullet Tree. Cayo another 2 person robbery was orchestrated- but this one was a home invasion. And - in this border adjacent community, the robbers may have been after a 2013 Dodge pickup truck. ASP Smith told us more: ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer "On Friday November 7th at around 2:15AM police responded to a report of an aggravated burglary on Guana Belly Road, Bullet tree village in the Cayo district. Police spoke to an occupant of the residence who stated that sometime after 2:00 AM when he was making his way into his residence he was accosted by 2 male persons who forced him inside his home and subsequently restrained him and stole and number of items from him which include a pick up truck, being a Dodge ram with license plate C-15217 valuing over $45,000. Upon learning of this incident police put into place a number of operational efforts and we have retrieved and are in the process of reviewing a number of video footages that we believe will assist us with this ongoing investigation." "We have not been able to conclusively come down on a position however as you rightfully said it is common for vehicle theft in that area to be with a view of taking it across the border and that is the reason why several operational efforts were put in place and are still underway." "So we are conducting further operations in the area to see where the vehicle may now be stashed, because of the efforts we have made along the border line."
