How to get a free Diancie & Mega Diancie - Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Pokemon Legends: Z-A launched a fun promotion alongside the announcement of its Mega Dimension DLC. For the time being, players can use the Mystery Gift system to collect an item that will lead to a chance to capture a Diancie. It's a rock/fairy mythical Pokemon with a mix of earthy and magical moves. What’s more, you’ll have the resources to Mega Evolve it into Mega Diancie. It will hardly cost more than your time either, so here’s how to get your Diancie in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. How to get a free Diancie & Mega Diancie As of a November 6, 2025 update, Game Freak has launched the Diancie promotion detailed in a video on its YouTube channel. It provides two things you’ll want to do, though you can do them in any order: Claim a Diancite Stone for the Mega Evolution and take up the side quest that leads to a chance to capture a Diancie. How to catch Diancie As part of this promotion, a new sidequest has been added to Pokemon Legends: Z-A: “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” If you meet up with Emma, she and Mimi will inform you of strange psychic energy in the area, beginning the quest. You’ll follow Mimi through Lumiose City and eventually it will take you to a special zone where Diancie awaits. It appears to be flanked by two Carbinks, so be prepared to deal with them (or catch one if you want), and then make sure you have what you need to battle and catch Diancie. How to get Mega Diancie Your Diancie can actually be Mega Evolved into Mega Diancie right away once you catch it. You just need to access the Mystery Gift system for the second half of this promotion. If you go to accept a Mystery Gift via the Internet after November 6, 2025, you should receive a free Diancite Stone. This stone is your key item for Mega Evolving Diancie.
