On Friday, October 24, in Desarmes, a locality in the commune of Verrettes (Artibonite), the Haitian National Police (PNH) intensified its security campaign.
During a forceful intervention in Desarmes by various specialized PNH units, several terrorists were killed, including Aidens Louis, alias "Varye", an active member of the "Taliban" gang led by Jeff Larose, who was mortally wounded during a gunfight.
Known to the police for his criminal activities, "Varye" posed a threat to public safety. His neutralization, along with that of his accomplices, demonstrates the PNH's determination to eradicate terrorist groups that sow terror and grief among the population. A weapon of war was seized at the scene.
The PNH issues an unequivocal warning: anyone participating in terrorist activities will be hunted down, neutralized, and brought to justice. No sanctuary will be spared. The recapture of Haitian territory is irreversible.
The fight against terrorism is a top priority. The PNH, supported by its partners, will continue its operations until the criminal networks are completely dismantled and order and security are fully restored.
