Nov 11 (Interfax) - Consumer prices in Belarus increased 0.3% in October 2025 after a 0.5% rise in September and a seasonal decrease of 0.3% in August, according to materials from the country's National Statistical Committee. Inflation in January-October amounted to 6.1%. Annual inflation in October slowed to 6.9% from 7.1% in September, 7.2% in August and 7.4% in July. Core inflation in October (excluding regulated and seasonal prices) amounted to 6.6% compared to December and 0.2% compared to September. Prices for food products in January-October compared to December increased 7.7% (in October - 0.8%), for non-food products - 2.8% (down 0.1%), while services became 7.5% more expensive (a fall of 0.05%). Belarus maintains state regulation of prices for almost all goods in the consumer basket, as well as for essential services. The head of the National Bank of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, said in September that the regulator will continue to adhere to the inflation target of no more than 5%, but consumer price growth may exceed the target forecast this year and next year. In 2024, inflation in the country slowed to 5.2% from 5.8% in 2023 and 12.8% in 2022. In 2026, the authorities intend to keep inflation within 7%.

Inflation in January-October amounted to 6.1%.

Annual inflation in October slowed to 6.9% from 7.1% in September, 7.2% in August and 7.4% in July.

Core inflation in October (excluding regulated and seasonal prices) amounted to 6.6% compared to December and 0.2% compared to September.

Prices for food products in January-October compared to December increased 7.7% (in October - 0.8%), for non-food products - 2.8% (down 0.1%), while services became 7.5% more expensive (a fall of 0.05%).
