Kurnool Bus Accident: In a shocking revelation, the two men - Shivshankar and Yerruswamy - riding the bike involved in the bus accident reportedly bought alcohol and consumed it twice before the tragedy occurred. The Police have detained them and launched an investigation into the matter. While riding, they hit a road boundary. Shivshankar suffered a severe head injury and died on the spot. Yerruswamy tried to drag Shivshankar’s body to the side of the road, but before he could move the two-wheeler, a sleeper multi-axle bus hit it and dragged it nearly 300 metres. The collision caused a fire, and the entire bus was gutted, killing 19 people. They purchased the alcohol at a shop in Peddatekuru Village in Kurnool District, and consumed it there itself. In total, 27 people, including two drivers and two children, managed to escape from the scene. A young man who was traveling in his car stopped after noticing fire and broke a window using a boulder and helped nearly 10 passengers who were stuck inside to escape. The accused driver was already taken into custody by police, and two separate cases have been registered in connection with this incident. A case has been registered against drivers, and another case has been registered on a bike accident. Further probe is on.
