Larvotto locks in underground mining muscle for NSW antimony-gold play

Larvotto Resources has secured the services of underground mining specialist PYBAR to lead the next development phase at its Hillgrove antimony-gold project in northern New South Wales. The four year deal covers almost 20 kilometres of underground drives and marks a crucial step in Larvotto’s ambitions of becoming Australia’s next major antimony and gold producer. Larvotto says it expects to start underground mining operations in the next few weeks before Christmas. The PYBAR contract comes hot on the heels of a competitive tender race, with the seasoned underground contractor now locked in to deliver a complete turnkey development package at the mine. The scope of the agreement spans all work across Larvotto’s priority Metz, Garibaldi and Clarks Gully zones including declines and lateral drives along with ground support, rehabilitation and haulage services.
