Mike Elko asking Texas A&M fans to have some perspective about 8-0 season

Mike Elko is celebrating the 2025 season the Texas A&M Aggies are having Elko's point is sound. Sure, you'd like to blow out every team on the schedule en route to a championship run, but this is the SEC. It's the toughest conference in college football, so even a 45-42 win at Arkansas that was closer than it should have been, or the aforementioned 16-10 win over Auburn, is a big deal. Ultimately, Elko has a lot to be excited about when it comes to his third-ranked Aggies. The last time the Aggies started the season 8-0 was in 1992. The last time they beat a Top 10 opponent on the road was on Sept. 13 against No. 8 Notre Dame in a 41-40 win. Before that, you had to go back to 1979. Have some perspective. That's basically Elko's message. “So let’s just take a step back and let’s enjoy the fact that we’re winning and not just focus on the play in the second quarter that we didn’t do the right way and how that’s going to kill us if we move forward and we keep making those mistakes,” Elko said.
