Morning everyone. Fifty years to the day after the infamous dismissal of Gough Whitlam, Anthony Albanese has spoken out, calling it a “calculated plot”.
Also today there are calls for a massive expansion of Melbourne’s public transport system, and NSW has a new tactic in the fight against illegal tobacco.
Overseas, Donald Trump is threatening to sue the BBC for more than a billion dollars and has pardoned close political allies including Rudy Giuliani for their roles in a plot to steal the 2020 election.
