His warning, which is also meant to inspire his team, is exactly what the Browns need. Garrett signed a massive four-year, $160 million contract extension in March with the Browns after requesting a trade. The trade was reportedly set to happen, but the team chose to invest in the former Defensive Player of the Year. Though Garrett is a perennial edge rusher, the Browns offense cannot seem to get things going. Whether or not that is an issue with just Gabriel or the core of the team remains to be seen. Stefanski might also be coaching for his job. There are plenty of games to turn things around, and Cleveland may take Garrett’s words and use them as fuel to help correct their losing streak.
