Ghana fought back early in the second half, with Sarah Nyarko pulling one back just four minutes after the restart to reduce the deficit. However, Nigeria sealed the win when Favour Nkwocha found the net two minutes from full time, putting the game beyond Ghana's reach. The Falconets will now turn their attention to their next match against the Young Amazons of the Benin Republic on Sunday morning.
