Naman 4.0: Tarang TV and Commissionerate Police join hands for annual tribute

"Bhubaneswar is gearing up for the fourth edition of Naman, a special initiative honouring constantly active police officers. The ceremony was attended by Twin City Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh, Odia actor Sabyasachi Mishra, and the Creative Head of Odisha Television Network Ranjan Satpathy.Advertisment Since its inception, Naman has been held annually for the past three years to recognise the dedication of serving police personnel. This year marks the fourth edition, and it will feature performances by senior police officers, senior cine artists, and vocal artists, celebrating both law enforcement and artistic talent. “Artistes have recognition among general public, and we are always obliged to the artistes and the general public. Through this programme (Naman 4.0), a small (one-act) play will be enacted on stage along with musical and dance events. There is always a police-public partnership and interdependence. We depend on the public and barely need assistance of the people in discharging our duties,” the Police Commissioner said. “Similarly, whenever public needs the help of police during their difficult times, we come forward. Based on this, the Naman programme is organised,” the senior cop stated. “This programme (Naman) by the performing artistes is intended to honour the services of police personnel, which has reached its fourth year. We, the artistes, have joined hands to conduct the programme on a grand scale this year,” actor Sabyasachi expressed. “This time we will try to perform on the stage certain sensitive issues.
