The Glenkinchie Distillery, located in East Lothian just 40 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, has been named as the Leading Scottish Distillery Tour at the World Travel Awards’ (WTA) Europe Gala - a ceremony recognised as one of the most prestigious in the industry. Tours include the signature Glenkinchie Flavour Journey tour where guests can enjoy a captivating cinematic journey through the whisky’s history and guided tasting, to the Flavour and Cask Experience which offers behind-the-scenes access to hidden distillery gems and the opportunity to taste hand-drawn liquid directly from the cask. The distillery and its team work closely with local makers and artists to host local fares and alternate experiences for its local and farflung guests to enjoy. These efforts are reflected in an impressive Net Promoter score (NPS) of 95 (Jul 2024 – Apr 2025), highlighting to judges that these values are woven deep into the distillery’s way of life. The venue will now go into the final in hopes of, once again, being named The World’s Leading Spirit Tourism Experience.
