Emmerdale fans make same plea for Charity's crossover with Corrie legend

Emmerdale fans are hoping they've worked out Charity Dingle's scene with Carla Connor in the Corriedale special. Next year, soap fans are in for a treat as ITV soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street are joining forces for a one-off special crossover that will air for one hour. While not much is known about the crossover yet, some characters have already been confirmed - DS Lisa Swain from Corrie, and Aaron Dingle from Emmerdale. In another twist, viewers will be asked to cast a vote to choose which pairing from the soaps will interact with each other in a scene. The pairings have been shortlisted, but only one scene will air on the night. Emma Atkins will be filming a scene with Alison King , James Hooton confirmed he’ll be filming alongside Andy Whyment, and Nicola Wheeler will be taking on David Nielson. It was also confirmed that Mike Parr will be working with Kate Ford, who plays iconic Corrie legend Tracy Barlow. Some fans are hoping that Charity and Carla will steal the spotlight together, with theories circling over what their storyline could be. With Charity sharing a kiss with former flame Vanessa Woodfield a few months ago and Carla struggling to navigate her relationship with Lisa, some fans have expressed hope that the two will talk about affairs of the heart. On X (formerly known as Twitter ), @swarlafics quoted an imaginary scene with the words: "Fight for her, Carla. Because once you’ve lost her, she’s gone forever. Trust me, I know." @potterhead456 replied: "Omg this is brilliant" as @c**ptrain added: "They need to reshoot the whole thing if they've not done this.". @adjalf1 echoed: "Why did I have to see this tweet. I'm going to be incredibly p***** off if they don't have something along the lines of this in the scene" Another viewer, @deirdrestrifle quipped: "Yeah that’s it just stab me directly in the heart". Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
