Seven children among 52 people deported to Georgia

The Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) of An Garda Síochána conducted the operation to transport the individuals to Georgia. Of the 52 removed, 35 were men, 10 were women and seven were children. Gardaí confirmed all were part of family groups to be deported. In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "All individuals were removed on a chartered flight which left Dublin Airport yesterday evening, Monday 3rd November 2025, for Georgia.” The flight arrived in Tbilisi at 2:30am on Tuesday morning, Irish time. Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan said “sustained and significant” efforts are being made to strengthen immigration enforcement in Ireland which sends a “clear message” to those whose application for international protection is rejected. Mr O’Callaghan said that the State has overseen a “doubling” in deportation orders issued this year, currently numbering 3,870. The Public Accounts Committee was told last month that 500 people residing in State-funded facilities for asylum seekers had received deportation orders. This year is set to see the biggest numbers of deportations from the State in 20 years.
