Tesco's new Clubcard deal doubles points in December 'win-win' for shoppers

Tesco has unveiled a new "win-win" enhancement to its Clubcard scheme for December, providing members with double points on gift card purchases. Under this promotion, customers will accumulate two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, as opposed to the usual single point. The supermarket giant highlighted that these additional points can provide greater value when redeemed through its Clubcard Reward Partners, potentially equating to up to 4% back on your expenditure. Ban Mahsoub, partnerships director at Tesco Insurance and Money Services, stated: "We all know the challenge of finding the perfect Christmas gift. With two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, you can be confident you're giving something they'll love, and you'll get a little something back for yourself, too. It's a win-win." Tesco offers a broad selection of third-party gift cards, encompassing retailers, restaurants and entertainment brands. The supermarket cited its own research indicating that gift cards remain a favoured choice at Christmas, with 58% of participants expressing their delight in receiving them. Conversely, 43% of shoppers confess to feeling the strain to find the ideal gift. The double-points offer is valid throughout the entirety of December (1 to 31) and applies to all third-party gift cards purchased in Tesco stores. The promotion is accessible to the over 24 million Clubcard customers across the UK, reports the Express . We have a dedicated newsletter for ChronicleLive’s money-saving and cost of living stories.
