Tiny Seeds Trade-up challenge expands with £2,500 artwork trade

A LOCAL fertility charity is aiming to show how such a small idea can make a huge difference through a unique initiative. The Tiny Seed Trade-up was launched this August and has since been swapping and trading it’s way upwards from just a packet of ‘tiny seeds’, to an item of more value. All funds made go towards raising awareness for those with fertility struggles. The most recent trade saw a £550 voucher for the Savoy Hotel swapped for a piece of commissioned artwork valued at £2,500. The next trader will receive the opportunity to have UK artist Tony Parsons create a bespoke, one-of-a-kind oil painting of their chosen island scene for them. The value of this trade alone would be enough to cover six of Tiny Seed’s IVF travel grants. These are in place to support Islanders who have to pay for fertility treatment. “This trade really reflects what the challenge is about,” said Chloé Fosse, founder of Tiny Seeds. “It’s not only about increasing value – it’s about community, kindness, and creating opportunities to make a real difference for those who need our support.” More than ten local businesses have supported the challenge and the charity is inviting as many businesses to join in as possible to keep the challenge moving. If you want to trade something or get involved, you are encouraged to contact the charity via email at tradeup@tinyseeds.je or message @tinyseedsjersey on social media.
