The UGC NET certificate is valid for three years for JRF applicants and lifetime for Assistant Professor eligibility. The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be held from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in India. The exam will have two papers with multiple-choice questions, and both papers will be conducted together without a break. The total duration will be three hours. Application Fees: General category candidates need to pay Rs 1,150, while OBC-NCL and EWS candidates must pay Rs 600. Candidates from SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender categories have to pay Rs 325. Fees can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
