‘Unexpected’: Aussie star reveals baby shock

In June, the couple – who are parents to Tallullah, 5, and Rocky, 4 – announced their baby news, with Jesinta due to give birth in the coming weeks. Speaking in a rare joint interview on the Stellar podcast Something To Talk About, Jesinta and Lance reflected on their fertility journey. “Really struggling to get pregnant with Tullulah, and then Rocky and this one to just come along very unexpectedly is a true blessing,” Jesinta told podcast host Sarrah Le Marquand. “Bud always has this thing, the more the merrier for him. So if I could keep going, we’d keep having kids, but I’m drawing the line.” Listen to Buddy and Jesinta on a new episode of Something To Talk About: “There is so much excitement and happiness around welcoming a new baby, but there is also this feeling – I don’t know if it’s something that just a mother has – [of] also kind of grieving the time that I’m gonna have with just Tullulah and Rocky,” she said. “I remember having that same feeling when I was welcoming Rocky, thinking have I spent enough time with Tullulah? Am I gonna have enough love to give? Is my heart going to expand in the same ways that it did when I had the other two?” Speaking on the Stellar podcast Something To Talk About, Lance revealed how fatherhood – and attention from paparazzi – influenced his desire to farewell city life. “I absolutely loved my time living in Sydney,” the former Sydney Swans star said. “But when we had kids things changed; it felt a bit too chaotic there. I love being on country and seeing the kids run around. “For the last four or five years, I didn’t enjoy the other stuff that came with living in Sydney, in terms of always looking over your shoulder for paparazzi. “I just hated that part of it. I was ready for something different.” Meanwhile, the couple are about to launch their new joint business venture Honey for Life, a Manuka honey brand based out of Perth in which they have invested. In a move that will shock AFL fans, Lance – who recently ran the New York City marathon – revealed his new occupation: beekeeper. “I’m officially a beekeeper, by the way,” Lance told Le Marquand. “I did my beekeeping course, which I’ve told a few friends about and they couldn’t believe it.” Listen to Buddy and Jesinta on a new episode of Something To Talk About: See the full shoot with Buddy and Jesinta Franklin in Stellar via The Sunday Telegraph (NSW), Sunday Herald Sun (Victoria), The Sunday Mail (Queensland) and Sunday Mail (SA).
