Meghan Markle is reportedly excited about her return to acting in the upcoming movie, Close Personal Friends. She will play herself in a small role in the project, which also stars Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Lily Collins, among others.Markle acted in numerous movies and shows and is best known for her work in the legal drama series, Suits. However, she parted ways with her acting career ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. While she has been active in philanthropic work and also on social media, the Duchess of Sussex hasn't acted since her wedding.Meghan Markle is now set to make her Hollywood comeback with Close Personal Friends, which is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. A source has now reportedly told PEOPLE that the 44-year-old is excited to be back on set, albeit she feels a bit rusty.As per a report by PEOPLE, published on November 10, an insider revealed:"She genuinely seemed excited to be on set. She was joking that she felt a bit rusty, but it was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back. And she was great. She had a very warm energy, too. The couple gave an interview with Variety in November 2017, where Markle spoke about taking a break from acting. She started by saying:“I don't see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change.”Prince Harry added:“It’s a new challenge.”Markle then further said:“It’s a new chapter. Right. And also keep in mind I’ve been working on my show for seven years. So we're very very fortunate to be able to have that sort of longevity on a series and for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker I thought, you know what, I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I've done there and now it's time to, as you said, work as a team with you.”In another interview with Variety, published on October 19, 2022, Markle said that she would consider returning to acting, and she answered:"No. I'm done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not."Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did feature in the documentary based on their lives titled Meghan & Harry, produced and released by Netflix on December 8, 2022.Apart from this, the Duchess of Sussex also released a television series on Netflix earlier this year titled With Love, Meghan. It showcased her inviting guests to an estate and sharing cooking, gardening, and hosting tips and recipes.
