Wife of Missing High School Coach Travis Turner Deletes Social Media

Leslie Caudill Turner, the wife of missing high school football coach Travis Turner, has taken herself offline amid her husband’s continued disappearance.
The football wife deactivated her Facebook account on Wednesday, November 26, six days after Travis disappeared from the family home and hasn’t been seen since.
Leslie’s final Facebook post, which she later deleted, voiced her support for her missing husband.
“I just wanted to get on here for a second to clear up something, as of right now, 10:25 PM on Friday night, Travis is missing, & that’s all we know,” Leslie wrote, according to multiple outlets.
Leslie continued, “We love him & need him here with us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love & support. It means more than you know. Just keep praying that he comes home.”
Travis has been charged with five counts of possessing child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor, the Virginia State Police revealed on Tuesday, November 25.
Leslie broke her silence about the charges against her husband during a conversation that same day with the Daily Mail.
“None of that is true,” Leslie said. “He’s a good dad and a good husband and we want him home. That’s it.”
Leslie added, ”I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything. I’m sorry.”
When asked to address speculation that Travis disappeared into the woods with a rifle, Leslie said, “I was told not to comment.”
Travis was officially listed as an “endangered missing person” on Saturday, November 22, with a search involving K-9 units, drones and a helicopter concentrated on the wooded area behind the Turner family home.
“He had went into the woods right near the general location of his house, and that’s basically where we’ve focused our search on,” Virginia State Police 1st Sgt. Jason Day told News Channel 11 on Saturday.
Travis went missing as agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were on their way to question him at his home about an open investigation.
Wise County Public Schools, who employed Travis, announced on Friday, November 21, that an unnamed staff member had been placed on leave.
“At this time, a staff member has been placed on administrative leave with pay while an external agency reviews an allegation that was reported to us,” Wise County Public Schools said in a statement. “This is standard procedure and not a determination of wrongdoing. The division cannot comment further.”
Wise County Public Schools told the Daily Mail on Tuesday that the employee “remains on leave and is not permitted on school property or to have contact with students.”
Leslie and Travis share three children: sons Bailey, 25, and Grayden, 20, and daughter Brynlee, 11.
Bailey, a former quarterback for his father at Union High, is still employed as a teacher at the school and a member of his dad’s coaching staff.
At the time Travis went missing, Union High was in the midst of an undefeated season and in the thick of the playoffs.
Union will host rival Ridgeview High School in the VHSL Region 2D Championship game on Saturday, November 29.
