He felt that if a star asked to be let go, WWE might think they were jumping ship and joining the competition. This could lead to a longer non-compete. Russo also added that since her fiancé at the time, Ricochet, had joined AEW, the WWE officials also thought that Samantha Irvin was also AEW-bound. I'm not sure, bro. I almost think she asked for her release because Ricochet went to AEW.
