The Bermuda intern will have the opportunity to work with the Actuarial or Finance team, gaining experience working in the reinsurance business.The intern will have opportunity to work with one of the following teams:Actuarial â ModellingActuarial â ValuationFinanceResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will vary, but may include the following:Support quarter-end close processesAssist with analysis related to Best Estimate Liability (BEL) or Embedded Value (EV)Work with modelling software such as MG-ALFA and MG-Integrate to generate liability cashflows and/or perform ALM runs for BEL and EVHelp build tools to streamline workflows using data process software such as Excel and PythonWork with data visualization software such as Power BI to improve analyticsProduce documentation for internal and audit referenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insightsPrepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholdersParticipate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussionsQualificationsEnrolled in a Bachelor's degree program for actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, or a related field; with expected graduation in 2027Completion of an actuarial exam preferred, if applying for an actuarial roleDemonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically ExcelExperience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, VBA) preferredStrong analytical and quantitative skillsAbility and willingness to take ownership of projectsAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentStrong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountabilityPrivacy StatementGlobal Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes.
