Job Description3D Mechanical DesignerRole SummaryThe 3D Designer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models for industrial applications, functional prototypes, and manufacturing components using additive manufacturing technologies and advanced design software. This role requires strong technical skills in mechanical design, experience with 3D printing platforms, and proficiency in measurement tools and design standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop 3D models for prototyping and production.Prepare and optimize files for 3D printing using FDM and SLS technologies.Operate and maintain various 3D printing platforms.Design mechanical components with functional and dimensional accuracy.Perform design adjustments for manufacturability and performance.Validate dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement tools.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.Document design processes, printing parameters, and results.Support tooling and spare part development through additive manufacturing.Technical RequirementsHands-on experience with FDM, SLA, and SLS 3D printing technologies.Knowledge of materials, print settings, and post-processing techniques.Proven experience in designing mechanical parts and assemblies.Understanding of mechanical tolerances, fits, and functional requirements.Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Siemens NX (preferred).Ability to create parametric models and complex surfaces.Skilled in using micrometers, vernier calipers, digital gauges, etc.Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.Knowledge and/or certification in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is highly desirable.Candidate ProfileDegree or technical background in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D design and additive manufacturing.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement mindset.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience in tooling or spare part design for manufacturing.Familiarity with FEM analysis or mechanical simulation tools.Intermediate to advanced technical English.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
