Citizens ONLYOverview: As the IT Product Manager for External Communications, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of Client's core external communications technology products, including the company website and newsletter platform. You will strategically drive the development, evolution, and ongoing support of these products, ensuring they align with our global external communications strategy and product roadmap. Responsibilities:
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of external communications strategy and processes to lead the strategy and successful delivery of global external communications products and overcome technical challenges. Work closely with global and regional external communications stakeholders to collect and analyze requirements for projects, work requests, and change activities related to external communications technologies. Contribute to the selection and evaluation of external communications technologies, platforms, and hardware, ensuring alignment with Client's technical standards and business needs. Collaborate on design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security discussions with the technical product team, external communications business partners, and vendors for external communications technologies.
Engage with IT leaders, infrastructure, and corporate security resources to ensure external communications products comply with IT best practices, standards, strategy, and laws, including data privacy, accessibility, and SEO. Manage day-to-day operations and the administration of global external communications products, with emphasis on coordinating customer requests and support activities (bug fixes and enhancements). Manage the customer request system and planning tools required to support and maintain daily operations, prioritize teamwork, remove roadblocks, and promote team collaboration for external communications products. Coordinate and delegate business requests to technical team members and oversee their success.
Execute deployment and test plans, validating with business users. Create and update process documentation and maintain existing knowledge bases. Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve issues identified by customers. Apply appropriate judgment in determining when to escalate issues to senior management. Provide regular status updates regarding work requests to team members and stakeholders. Provide insight on capabilities for implementing new technologies and best practices to enable the roadmap delivery for external communications products. Pursue continuous learning consistent with movement in job requirements, changes in technology, and organizational shifts. Required:
Extensive understanding of programming concepts, web security, session management, web browsers, and best development practices is required. Excellent understanding of front-end languages is required: HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript. In-depth understanding of back-end languages/frameworks and version control required: C#, . NET 6, XSLT, APIs, Git. Extensive understanding of IDEs (Microsoft Visual Studio preferred) is required. High-level of expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Agile. Proficient understanding of cloud environments and deployment tools required: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOpsHigh-level understanding of building responsive and mobile-friendly websites is required. Knowledge of grid systems is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to align technology solutions with overarching external communications goals (e. g. , heightened stakeholder engagement, streamline information sharing, culture building, strengthening brand perception, etc. ). Demonstrated experience contributing to all stages of large-scale, enterprise-level technology implementations, particularly for new solutions. Experience collaborating with international teams and stakeholders across different time zones to achieve common project or product goals. Proven ability to translate high-level business objectives into detailed technical requirements and user stories for new product development or significant enhancements. Strong understanding of enterprise-level security requirements. Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
Experience in evaluating and selecting technology vendors, including developing RFPs/RFIs and assessing technical capabilities for new solutions. Demonstrated ability to navigate the complexities of global solution deployment, including considerations for cultural differences, language variations, data privacy regulations (e. g. , GDPR, etc. ), and regional infrastructure requirements.
