You are in the center of the dynamic cargo operations for Maersk Liner Business and are one of a team of colleagues who on a daily basis drive a great customer experience by ensuring that cargo booked and planned on our vessels is actually loaded, discharged, and delivered as per our promise to our customer. A key deliverable is to work together with internal and external stakeholders to drive down the Maersk operating cost for your ports.
You play a pivotal role in lifting the customer experience when shipping with Maersk by ensuring hassle-free and smooth cargo operations in America's ports and across the world. You work together with the Areas and customers to improve our product and product execution, which includes direct contact with our end customers. Key responsibilities: Oversees end-to-end processes and ensures quality output whilst meeting customer needs. Enable smooth load- and discharge operations for Maersk cargo 24/7. Manages the load-discharge and transshipment processes for the ports within scope, including rail and intermodal connection. Plan, execute, and communicate operational contingencies.
Proactively resolve load list tasks avoiding cargo being left behind and improving upstream process to structurally increase the load list accuracy. Explores root causes on unfavorable cost, identifies impacting actions and drives the implementation of cost saving initiatives across the Maersk Ocean Customer Logistics teams. Improve customer’s satisfaction by ensuring cargo is delivered as per our promise. Builds strong working relationships with key internal-, external stakeholders, like container terminals and authorities, to continuously drive down cost, improve the product delivered to our customers and optimize processes.
Closely works together with the country Areas on meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations. Identifies and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of working. We are looking for: Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule covering 24/7 operations. Our ideal candidate has significant experience in shipping operations or customer experience. Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. You are obsessed with our customers, and you want to ensure that we give them the best customer experience at all times.
Strong level of ownership and accountability, with a visible sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a very dynamic operations environment. You can advocate strongly for our customers with excellent stakeholder management skills. You have a mindset focused on standardization and continuous improvement to deliver cost-efficient and smooth end-to-end service delivery to our customers. You have a strong learning and sharing attitude, who can work with time constraints and make decisions. You are a results-oriented person and a team player. English and Spanish proficiency.
