Department: Awards Production and EventsReports to: Chief Oscars OfficerJob Type: Full-time – RegularJob Classification: Hourly (Non-exempt)Workplace Location: Los Angeles – 8949 WilshireSummary/Objective: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seeking an organized, proactive, collaborative Senior Coordinator to provide primary administrative support to the Chief Oscars Officer (COO), who leads the Awards and Events team. This individual will play a vital role in managing a fast-paced, high-profile environment that oversees the production of the Oscars and other marquee Academy events.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player and strong communicator with a passion for the Oscars, event production, and movies. Essential Functions of the Job: Manage the COO’s calendar, oversee production timelines, and track key deliverables, including for the Oscars and other marquee Academy events. Coordinate meetings, generate and distribute meeting notes and follow-ups. Support the COO, and the team across all events, including the Museum Gala, Governors Awards, and the Oscars. Handle all invoices and expenses for the COO and team as needed, ensuring timely processing.

Regularly correspond with Academy executives and teams, as well as Academy members, filmmakers. Maintain organized digital filing systems on the server and ensure timely and accurate distribution of documents, assets, and files to relevant stakeholders. Review, proofread, and edit a variety of documents to ensure clarity and accuracy. Coordinate all aspects of travel as needed for the COO and others as needed. Support in any additional departmental/team projects as needed. Required Competencies: 1–3 years of experience in entertainment, event production, or a related field. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.

Basic knowledge of Airtable and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of projects. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks from various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven office. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Preferred Qualifications: A college degree is preferred. The expected salary range for this role is $52,000. 00 - $55,000. 00. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.
