Job Description

As a pro-active Account Executive with Paladin Technologies, you will be responsible for achieving sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued customer relationships, expanding the company’s current customer base, and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. Your business development skills combined with your technical knowledge of the market and clients within the industry will lead to success. Your business acumen and ability to communicate with stakeholders and effectively identify opportunities will be crucial to ensuring the success of our client engagements. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Drive new client acquisition through targeted prospecting, networking, market engagement, and consistent outreach to grow the Company’s client baseBuild, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring trust, satisfaction, consistent communication, and strategic account growthIdentify client security and technology requirements and clearly communicate how the Company’s solutions meet operational, compliance, and business needsPrepare professional proposals, RFP responses, and bid packages that clearly articulate the Company’s value, competitive advantages, and alignment with margin and operational requirementsDevelop and execute a proactive follow-up strategy for all prospects, ensuring timely communication, proposal tracking, and revenue pipeline advancementMaintain ongoing engagement with clients to assess satisfaction, support future needs, solicit referrals, and assist in resolving overdue account matters when necessaryPromote and secure Service Contracts, including renewals, upgrades, and 2nd-year agreements tied to system enhancements or replacementsIdentify and propose equipment upgrades, system expansions, and promotional offerings to increase client value and generate additional revenuePresent final contract documentation to clients and ensure all requirements—retainers, taxes, invoicing details, project scope—are complete and accurateComplete sales orders, scopes of work, and associated project documentation in compliance with Company procedures and contractual requirementsCollaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure timely, efficient, and profitable installations that meet or exceed client expectations and Company standardsMaintain ongoing communication with Project Managers regarding project status, open issues, change orders, and required close-out documentationRepresent the Company in a professional, business-like manner in all interactions to maximize client satisfaction and reinforce the Company’s reputationStay current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and Company product offerings; participate in manufacturer and technical training as neededEngage positively and proactively with colleagues across all departments to enhance customer satisfaction, support operational efficiency, and meet profitability goalsRespond promptly and effectively to all client and internal inquiries, ensuring clear communication and dependable follow-throughAdhere to Company policies, procedures, and safety standards, ensuring the safety of self and others at all timesParticipate in networking events, industry associations, and business functions that support Company visibility, values, and growth objectivesProvide accurate and timely activity reports as required by managementBe available to support client or business needs outside regular working hours when necessaryMaintain and protect all assigned Company assets, equipment, and resourcesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 3 - 5 years industry experienceExtensive sales experience in a technical environment, ideally from the integrated security, networking/data cabling and/or commercial audio-visual industriesExperience selling complex integrated solutions involving access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, structured cabling, corporate AV, or other related systemsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience selling into related sectors including gaming, healthcare, industrial construction, government, education, defense, utilities Knowledge of the following technologies is required: IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows XP or 7 workstations, Microsoft Office products Experience with the following technologies is an asset: Access Control, CCTV (IP), Intrusion Systems, Client-Servicer security applications, MS SQL databases, Server and Storage Infrastructure. PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:Results oriented networking and prospectingExcellent customer relation skillsExcellent written and verbal skills in one on one and large group situationsExcellent inter-personal skills including client and employee relationsAbility to organize workload for effective implementationAbility to multi-task while working under deadlines and time constraintsEfficient in standard business software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Onenote, Visio)Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse culturesAbility to function as an effective team member in a collaborative sales environmentAbility to adapt as the external environment and organization evolvesPHYSICAL DEMANDSIn general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Must be able to effectively communicate, (i.e., see, hear, speak, and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers;
