Account Manager – Employee Benefits 📍 Manhattan, NY A leading employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm is seeking a seasoned Account Manager to join their expanding client services team. This organization partners with mid-to-large employers — many with globally mobile populations — to design, manage, and optimize group benefits programs that make a meaningful impact on employee well-being.If you’re a benefits professional with strong technical expertise, excellent carrier relationships, and a passion for delivering client-first service, this is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career in a collaborative and respected environment.What You’ll DoServe as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of group benefits clients, building trusted relationships with HR and executive teamsOversee all aspects of benefits program administration (medical, dental, vision, ancillary, voluntary/worksite) including enrollments, audits, billing, and escalated service issuesLead the annual renewal process: market analysis, carrier negotiations, and client presentationsEnsure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other applicable regulationsAnalyze claims and utilization data to identify trends and actionable insightsPartner with internal teams — compliance, underwriting, operations, and technology — for seamless client deliveryIdentify opportunities for program enhancements and additional benefits or wellness initiativesStay ahead of industry trends and legislative changes impacting employee benefitsWhat You Bring✅ Active Health & Life Insurance License (in good standing) ✅ 7–10 years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, or benefits consulting (brokerage/consulting firm background preferred) ✅ In-depth knowledge of group health and life insurance markets and compliance regulations ✅ Proven success in client retention, renewals, and growth ✅ Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills ✅ Strong analytical skills and comfort with claims/utilization reporting ✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Preferred:Familiarity with HRIS or benefits technology platformsProfessional designations (CEBS, CLU, ChFC, SHRM)Experience mentoring or leading junior team membersExposure to global benefits and expat/inpat populations (a plus, not required)Why JoinCompetitive compensation with base salary + performance incentiveComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and more)Opportunity to make a strategic impact in a supportive, growth-focused firm💼 Ready to bring your expertise to a team that values partnership, innovation, and client success?
