Peo IT is committed to the development of our youth through learnership programs, offering opportunities for employment upon completion and as the company continues to grow.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Account Manager located in Midrand, Johannesburg South Africa.The Account Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts in the Public sector (government entities, municipalities, and other public sector institutions) and developing strong relationships and identifying new sales opportunities.The role focuses on assisting with project coordination, supporting account planning, and contributing to the delivery of IT solutions and digital transformation initiatives. This is an entry-level position designed to develop account management and project coordination skills. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining customer service excellence, creating strategic sales plans, managing client portfolios, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.Key Responsibilities: 1. Account Support and Client Engagement ∙Assist in maintaining relationships with public sector clients under guidance from senior managers. ∙Participate in client meetings and follow up on client requests. ∙Help monitor ongoing projects and ensure client needs are addressed promptly. 2. Solution Support ∙Support senior managers in conducting needs assessments to identify client requirements. ∙Assist with the implementation of IT solutions such as ERP systems, digital tools, cybersecurity, and data management. ∙Ensure solutions align with client expectations and internal standards. 3. Project Coordination ∙Support project planning and track progress to ensure timely delivery. ∙Coordinate with internal teams to help facilitate project execution. ∙Identify potential risks and escalate issues to senior management. 4. Compliance Support ∙Ensure basic compliance with public sector regulations under supervision. ∙Maintain accurate documentation of project activities and client interactions. 5. Innovation and Modernization Support ∙Assist in digital transformation initiatives, such as cloud migration or smart city projects. ∙Support efforts to improve efficiency and service delivery within public sector accounts. 6. Stakeholder Collaboration ∙Work with internal teams, technology vendors, and consultants to support project delivery. ∙Assist in coordinating cross-departmental activities within client organizations. 7. Reporting ∙Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing project progress, challenges, and outcomes. ∙Highlight areas where senior management input or support is needed. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): ∙Timely submission of weekly project reports. ∙Support in successful project delivery under senior supervision. ∙Contribution to client satisfaction and issue resolution. ∙Development of account management and project coordination skills. Skills and Competencies: ∙Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ∙Good organizational and time-management abilities. ∙Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior team members. ∙Team-oriented with problem-solving abilities. ∙Basic understanding of IT solutions and digital tools is an advantage. QualificationsHigher educatin in Business, Marketing, or a related fieldExcellent Communication skillsClient relationship management experienceProven ability to meet and exceed sales targetsExperience in the ICT industry is a plus
