Job Description
The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our product. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.Expectations of an Account ManagerAssumes role of main day-to-day client contactResearches and understands the brand, its category and its competitors to provide added value for the client while staying well-informed on marketing and media trends Collaborates with the Planning, Media and Creative departments to write a strong, inspiring agency brief and concept based on the client’s initial briefInfluences the development of the highest quality of creative work by sharing knowledge of the client/business/brand and demonstrating strong creative judgment and basic strategic recommendationsPresents production estimates for client approvalProtects client and agency interests by thoughtfully managing resources and identifying new opportunities for growthIssues and updates written weekly status and conference call reports following meetings to ensure client and agency are in agreementAttends shoots and edits to ensure client approval and satisfaction Effectively facilitates the communication between agency, client and our partner agencies to ensure seamless creative outcomesWorks with studio, producers and project management teams to deliver on time, and on budgetCommitted to constantly improving our work, and how we workMaintains a sense of discretion and professionalism, representing the Groupe Skills & ExperiencePreferred 3-5 years account experience in a highly creative advertising agency preferredStrong grasp of social media space and online media jargon and technology Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environmentAbility to effectively and appropriately interact with co-workers at a variety of levels, across many disciplinesEffective negotiation and problem-solving skills requiredStrong financial understanding of budgeting, estimating and agency profitabilityProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, KeynoteA demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situationsExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employeesHighly organized with a keen sense of attention to detailExceptional initiative and follow through skillsAfter hours work and overnight traveling to shoots and post sessions requiredAccount managers need the confidence to interact with clients and make presentations. They should have no qualms about working under pressure. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, allied with the ability to negotiate. Naturally well organised and unfazed when working towards deadlines.
