Contract Accountant / Audit Support (Tick and Tie)📍 REMOTE 🕒 Short-term contract: 4–8 weeks a couple of hundred hoursHours: 40 hours per week.Engagement type: Independent contractor supporting an external clientCompensation: $45 per hour MAXAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Contract Accountant / Audit Support Specialist to assist one of our external clients with short-term accounting and audit project. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background and hands-on audit experience, especially in tick and tie work and financial statement reconciliation.What You’ll DoPerform accounting and audit duties, along with tick and tie reviews of financial statements, trial balances, and supporting workpapersSupport accounting and audit work by preparing and organizing documentation for external auditorsReconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and completenessVerify data consistency across schedules, GL accounts, and financial reportsCommunicate open items and findings with the engagement leadWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field2–5 years of accounting or audit experience (public accounting or corporate audit preferred)Strong working knowledge of accounting and audit proceduresAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systemsDetail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable supporting fast-paced client engagementsCPA or CPA-eligible is a plusDetailsContract duration: 4–8 weeks (with potential for follow-on work) – It’s a couple hundred hours of work.Hours: 40 hours per week.Engagement type: Independent contractor supporting an external clientCompensation: $45 per hour MAX
