This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software (such as Sage and Xero), and strong Excel skills. Responsibilities• Financial Data Management: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.• Transaction Processing: Process financial transactions, including invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.• Bookkeeping & Tax Compliance: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, VAT filings, corporate tax submissions, and payroll processes to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.• Group-wide Supervision: Oversee bookkeeping activities across all entities, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions and consistency of reporting practices.• Treasury & Reconciliation Collaboration: Work closely with treasury and reconciliation teams to align accounting processes, reporting timelines, and financial controls.• Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely submission of supporting documents and addressing audit queries.• Internal Controls: Support the maintenance and adherence to robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.• System Enhancement: Assist in the maintenance and continuous enhancement of accounting systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data, identifying trends, and working with other departments to create accurate financial projections.• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and generate reports that provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance, variances, and key metrics.
