As the undisputed leader in professional services, Deloitte is where you’ll find unrivalled opportunities to succeed and realise your full potential.The Team Our Assurance team, which consists of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds ranging from ACA/ACCA qualified members, CFA candidates to mathematicians and statisticians, provides among others, the following services:Accounting and advisory supportIFRS 9 advisory support both for Banking and Corporate clientsCredit risk model validation servicesDevelopment of accelerator tools using data analyticsThe RoleThe successful candidates’ key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Participating in large Assurance engagements in Cyprus and the Middle Eastern region, mainly within the financial services industry, both onsite and remotelySupporting Deloitte’s external audit teams on IFRS 9 reviews through challenging our clients’ methodological approaches and quality of implementationReplicating/re-building statistical models with the use of raw data and assessing model outputsProviding credit measurement modelling and analytics services to clients either by building new models or improving/reviewing existing onesSupporting other assurance-related projects such as: validation of credit risk models, IFRS transformations, and accounting & reporting advisory engagementsDeveloping solutions and recommendations, summarizing findings, drafting reports and presenting results to clientsHelping clients with designing and improving their wider credit measurement ecosystems; for example, practices around data, controls, model risk management, model monitoring, and maintenance and reportingSupporting the senior management of the team in developing and winning new business, including assisting with proposal developmentRequirements Undergraduate degree from a reputable university in Mathematics, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Operational Research, Data Science, Data Analytics or any other related disciplineProfessional qualifications (such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) will be considered an advantageBoth university graduates without any prior work experience and professionals with up to 5 years of relevant work experience will be consideredAbility to communicate complex concepts to non-expert audiencesKnowledge of modelling software such as SAS, SQL, Python, R will be considered an advantageExperience with data visualisationExcellent analytical and reporting skillsStrong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel (including VBA), Power PointExcellent command of the English language, both verbal and writtenBenefitsCompetitive remuneration packageProvident FundMedical coverage and life insuranceContinuous professional development and accelerated career growthGlobal mobility opportunities and international experienceFlexible hours and hybrid working (adapted to team-specific operational requirements)Friday afternoon off throughout the year34-hour week between July-September, including 2 afternoons off on Wednesday and FridayPublic Holidays falling on weekends given as paid Wellbeing Day off on the Friday beforeDress for your daySpecial types of leaveDeloitte Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7/365 specialist counselling supportNeck massageSports teamsWorking Parents Flexible/Reduced Hours SchemePrenatal & Postpartum Support ProgramLactation roomNew Dad LeaveWedding & New Baby giftsFree parkingWhy Deloitte?
