As we continue to scale, we seek an Accountant to join our office in South Korea. This role will play a pivotal part in establishing a robust finance function to drive breakthrough operational efficiencies.Position OverviewThe Accountant will play a critical role in the establishment of a strong finance function in our South Korean business. This role in the Financial Controllership team will be instrumental in relation to management of the finance daily operations, internal controls and other ad-hoc assignments as required. As a growth position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business, the general nature and level of work within this role is designed to progress as opportunities arise.Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:Financial operations: Support in the daily financial operations (AR, GL & tax), and ensure timely and accurate month-end closingReporting: Prepare monthly, annual and other periodic financial reportsCash flow management: Monitor and manage the company’s cashflows to ensure financial stability and satisfaction of cashflow-related KPIsCompliance: Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodiesInternal control: Safeguard and enforce internal control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulationsERP enhancements: Support ERP enhancement of Oracle Fusion for the South Korean entityTax compliance: Manage tax reporting and compliance in corporate income tax and GST for the South Korean businessProjects: Participate in continuous business maturity projects alongside other members in the finance team and wider organisation through business operational improvements and/or technological solutions to increase efficiencyRequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, with professional certification preferred (Eg.
