Accountant Manager

This is a remote position.Remote Position • Part-Time • 4 Hours/WeekPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accountant Manager to join our team in a flexible, part-time remote role. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and comprehensive financial reporting. This position requires expertise in both manual accounting practices and accounting software systems.Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain Chart of Accounts (CoA) structure, ensuring proper classification and organization of accounts • Prepare and reconcile Trial Balances on a regular basis • Develop and generate Financial Statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements • Produce detailed Profit & Loss (P/L) Statements with variance analysis • Perform manual journal entries and account reconciliations • Implement and manage accounting systems while maintaining proficiency in manual accounting methods • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and best practices • Review and validate financial data for completeness and accuracy • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making Requirements • Proven experience in building and managing Chart of Accounts • Strong expertise in preparing financial statements and trial balances (both manually and using accounting software) • Proficiency in creating P/L statements and balance sheets • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with accounting systems (ERP, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or similar platforms) • Strong manual accounting knowledge and skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills • Excellent communication and organizational abilitiesPreferred Qualifications • CPA or other accounting certification • Experience with multiple accounting software platforms • Experience in financial analysis and reporting • Background in a similar part-time or freelance accounting roleWork Arrangement • Position Type: Part-Time • Hours: 4 hours per week • Schedule: Flexible - work at your own pace within agreed timeframes • Location: Remote - work from anywhereSkills & Competencies • Advanced proficiency in accounting principles and practices • Expert-level knowledge of financial reporting standards • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis • Strong written and verbal communication skills BenefitsWhy Join Us? • Flexible working arrangement with only 4 hours per week commitment • Fully remote position with no geographic limitations • Opportunity to work with diverse financial systems and methodologies • Professional growth and skill development in both manual and digital accounting
