Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Dubai. The Accountant will oversee and manage financial records, prepare financial statements, monitor budgets, and handle tax compliance procedures. Responsibilities also include reconciling accounts, examining financial data, ensuring accuracy, and reporting financial performance to stakeholders. Collaboration with internal departments and adherence to industry-specific financial regulations will be key aspects of the role. Qualifications Proficiency in financial accounting, reporting, and financial statement preparationExperience with budget monitoring, cost control, and financial forecastingStrong understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and risk managementProficiency in accounting software and tools, along with advanced Excel skillsKeen attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skillsStrong communication and organizational abilitiesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferredPrior experience in the shipping or transportation industry is a plusAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment
