Accounting Analyst

Job Title: Accounting AnalystLocation: Toronto / RemoteAbout the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Analyst to support our finance operations on a short-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Great Plains, and a strong understanding of accounting processes including order review, accounts receivable/payable, and journal entries.This role requires someone comfortable working independently, highly organized, and capable of managing daily accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day accounting operations within Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP).Review and process sales orders, invoices, and payments.Handle receivables and payables transactions in a timely and accurate manner.Prepare and run financial reports, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies.Record and post journal entries as needed.Assist with monthly closings and general ledger reviews.Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and data analysis as required.
