This role reports to the Revenue Manager and plays a crucial part in monitoring the daily financial operations of our innovative payments platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of settlements and disbursements, performing essential reconciliations, and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.The ideal candidate has a strong foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), a keen eye for detail, and a passion for problem-solving. You'll work closely with both internal and external teams, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. This position is perfect for someone who loves to learn new skills and is proactive in identifying and addressing challenges.What You’ll Do:Monitor daily money movement activities, systems, and triaging alerts to provide insights and recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency of settlements and disbursementsExecuting various daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerMonitor and apply customer collections and apply net settlements of customers’ AR when necessary. Monitor and triage tickets submitted to the Revenue Operations teamAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including invoicing customers, preparing backup, journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysisInvestigate and address identified issues within the reconciliation system through problem-solving, seeking support from mentors and department experts as neededDemonstrate curiosity regarding product innovation opportunitiesDevelop familiarity with and competency in using internal tools and processesUnderstand financial concepts and apply them to reconciliation errorsCommunicate effectively with internal and external parties to submit inquiries and provide timely updates on relevant issuesDevelop comprehensive documentation for new accounting and financial processes, ensuring clarity and consistencyRegularly review and update existing documentation to reflect current practices, system updates, and organizational changes. What We Expect From You:4-5 years with Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Related fieldExperience in Fintech Payments Company will be an advantageLoves learning new skills, tools, accounting operations and controls for money movement transactions. Basic foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principal (GAAP) Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, VBA, etc.) preferred. Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
